The last week of April allowed us a chance to get out of the office and attend two events that have become permanent fixtures in our calendar; AIM’s Music Connected and Brighton Music Conference.
As in previous years we had a stand at Music Connected’s ‘digital marketplace’, situated alongside one of our partners Believe Digital, we had the chance to talk in depth about music anti-piracy with the delegates in attendance. We also had the opportunity to catch up with clients and partners and relive some of the more memorable moments from our AudioLock 2.0 soft launch event! Our new animated, voiced by Judge Jules was shown on a continual loop and was very well received… Video will be public soon, we can’t wait to share the new features with you.
Brighton Music Conference, now in its fourth year appears to be going from strength to strength. The panels were of a consistently high quality and it was fantastic seeing so many friends, clients, partners and ambassadors featured on them. Ambassador Anna Wall featured on two panels over the course of the event and Caroline Bottomley from our partner, Radar Music Videos gave great advice on a panel about new artists producing their first videos and maximising their reach.
Our CEO Ben Rush featured on a panel entitled “Get Played, Get Paid – Transforming Payments For Music In The Mix” presented by AFEM. This forms part of a campaign of the same name by AFEM that has a simple objective – ensuring that the music rights holders are paid for their work as every stream, download, play or performance generates revenue that must be allocated.
We will be attending The Great Escape and IMS later this month and very much look forward to catching up with many of you there!
